- See the quality of a UIC Home by walking through one of our models. Ask questions.
- Complete a design evaluation questionnaire to help in your decision process.
- Call us when you need us. No sales pressure as we know purchasing a home is a big decision.
- Meet with sales agent to review neighborhood, design plans, options/upgrades, timeline and price.
- Reserve your lot by placing a $5000 refundable deposit on your lot of choice and signing a home sale contract.
- Secure proof of financing, within 15 days, through our preferred mortgage lender Groundwork Mortgage (groundworkmortgage.com) or with lender of your choice.
- Work with design liaison at UIC main sales office to make a range of interior selections for your new home.
- Meanwhile, UIC will be applying for a building permit for your home.
- Complete interior selections and sign your final change order with any upgrades you selected.
- Break ground. Begin the build. Approximate 9-12 months to complete from this point.
- Receive regular updates from your project manager.
- Walk through of home at time of electrical rough-in wiring to ensure access and locations are correct, and add lighting and power locations if necessary.
- After electrical rough-in is complete, insulation and drywall can start and the end is in sight. Our contract administrator will reach out 30-45 Days from closing to begin to prepare for close with your lender and to schedule walks of your home before close with the building team.
